Update

Well they finally freed up a bed and Mum got moved to a proper ward last night and hoped to get some sleep as she was exhausted. Unfortunately, it appears God decided to punish her for her uncharitable thoughts towards Shouting Lady and no sooner had Mum been settled in, than here new wardmate arrived…shouting…

Other than that, it’s better new today and the medical team impressively seem to be looking at the situation holistically and are taking into account the fact that Mum can function much better at home, where things are adapted to suit. Accordingly, they’ve sorted out for the District Nurse to give the injections and take the blood samples and by this evening she’s discharged and home safe and sound.

I’m telling myself that they wouldn’t allow this if there was still a significant risk of a PE.
